This perfect getaway is right on the beach front and offers magnificent ocean views.

Cape Bridgewater is only 20 klm from Portland, is a scenic jewel in Victoria's rugged Western coastline. Perfect waves roll in from the Southern Ocean onto a vast arc of white sand between the volcanic headlands of Cape Nelson and Cape Bridgewater. The place is practically deserted for most of the year, apart from residents who surely bask in the peace and unspoiled beauty found here. Visitors to Cape Bridgewater should allow extra days to explore the natural attractions of Discovery Bay Coastal Park, Lower Glenelg National Park, Mt. Eccles National Park and Mt. Richmond National Park. Walk along the Great South West Walk and explore the Petrified Forest, blowholes, seal colony, Bridgewater Lakes, giant sand dunes and deserted beaches.

The house is a new two storey lime stone building constructed along lines of the original Sea View Hotel.
All guests bedrooms are on the upper floor, four of the five with spectacular sea views. One room with sea views has a king size bed and spa bath in the ensuite.
Spacious rooms, a cosy lounge and dining room as well as two guests sitting rooms overlooking the bay are warm and cosy, even in inclement weather you can snuggle up by the wood fire and watch the swells roll by.
Hosts Phil and Sue Arnold provide a full breakfast in the downstairs dining room. Upstairs there are shared kitchen facilities for guests.

A new, two bedroom self contained, holiday house is also available. It has full kitchen facilities, a corner spa in the bathroom and all linen is supplied. Located across the road from the beach, it has sweeping sea views of the bay from the lounge and main bedroom.

Phil operates a fascinating marine ecology centre on the property where you can see the local crabs, sea stars and anemones close up.
